10 Signs You’re A Journalism Major

I can’t go out, I have to write another article!

I absolutely love my major. I love writing, reporting, being on TV, and all the other fun things that come with being a budding journalist. However, when I find myself spending six hours in the NewsHub editing videos, I realize- I’m a typical journalism major. If you’re majoring in Journalism (or any communications field) then most of these probably apply to you!

1. When the government shut down keeps you from getting facts for your articles.


2. You feel the need to live tweet everything (even if it’s not news).


3. You spend all of your time in the communications building.


4. You can assemble a tripod in less than a minute AND operate a sound board.

5. You’re in a professional fraternity for comm. majors…

6. You correct your friends, and possibly your professors, when they make spelling errors.


7. Your Twitter feed is filled with accounts for newspapers and TV stations.
